Atif Rafeeq of KIIT for Air Traffic Support System
Its an air traffic control simulation designed for handling of the landing requests when there are more than one airplane coming to land at the same time, then the simulation generates the landing sequence according to arriving planes statistics. It is implemented using the artificial intelligence rule based expert system technique and while designing artificial neural networks techniques were also used.
It is different from others because this is a first step to automate the crucial air traffic control operations which hasn’t in the market before. It deserves to win because it is a research based projecy and if implemented then it will definitely reduced the headache from the air traffic controllers during the busy air traffic hours.
