This year P@SHA held the first ever P@SHA Tech Crunch Gong Awards on October 14, 2009. At stake were several things. The two cheques for US$1000 were only a nominal recognition of the best pitch. The real prize was the opportunity to attract investment and network with people who could add value to your idea. And that certainly happened. 3 expressions of interest took place that will lead to investment I am assured. A lot of the contestants networked with each other and discovered ways of working together and adding value to each other’s work.

Each one was a winner but a few stood a little above the rest. The judges had a difficult time adjudicating but finally came up with the following results:

Mindstorm Studios – Babar Ahmed for his presentation on “Cricket Revolution”

There was a tie for second place – MediConnect pitched by 17 year old Zayd Enam and The Readers Club pitched by Usman Siddiqui.
